María de Los Ángeles Rivera has over thirty-six years of experience in public accounting.
In her role as tax partner, she engages in the design and development of tax planning and consulting strategies. This includes tax services in the area of mergers and acquisitions, business reorganizations, partnership transactions, tax incentives and exemptions, individual and corporate tax issues, personal financial matters, and others. Since the designation of Puerto Rico as an opportunity zone, María has been engaged in presentations as guest speaker leading the firm’s initiatives around the opportunity zones incentives, worked with grant applications, the development of tax planning structures for individuals and businesses, and other incentives programs for eligible taxpayers. She coordinates the technical tax trainings of the tax department professionals.
Mrs. Rivera is a summa cum laude graduate and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Catholic University of Puerto Rico and holds a master’s degree in public accountancy from the University of Texas at Austin.
In 2021 Mrs. Rivera completed the Exceptional Coach Programme – EMCC EIA at Practitioner level. She is on her third tenure as member of the Board of Directors of the Puerto Rico Builders Association. She is the President elect of the San Juan Rotary Club.
Yolanda Valencia has experience in public and private companies, national and foreign of the commercial, services, technology, marketing, and retail sector.
She has experience in the legal and fiscal processes that companies must follow to start business in Mexico, in the preparation of financial reports in accordance with the NIF, in the determination of federal and local contributions, in the determination of payroll and in the compliance with legal and fiscal obligations to which companies in Mexico are subject.
In 2021 Mrs. Valencia completed the Exceptional Coach Programme – EMCC EIA at Practitioner level.
